It’s been almost a full year since Andreas Birgels was at the Tiger Muay Thai and MMA Training Camp Phuket, Thailand in early January helping Felipe Enomoto with his ONE FC bout in February. Now the 27 year-old German is back and this time with a title.

The Krefeld, Germany native won the Superior Fighting Championship Middleweight title after he defeated Derwisch Cidar back on September 15. The fight was the final bout in an eight-man tournament that started back in February.

Since his last visit to Tiger Muay Thai and MMA Training Camp Phuket, Thailand, Birgels has gone 3-0, finishing all his fights in the first round. His record now stands at 6-3 with two TKO wins and a referee stoppage in 2012.

Birgels will train at TMT with an eye for another fight in February 2013.
