Tiger Muay Thai and MMA Phuket asst. head coach JJ Ambrose promoted to BJJ Brown Belt

Congratulations to Tiger Muay Thai and MMA Phuket assistant MMA Coach JJ Ambrose on his recent promotion to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Brown Belt.

Having won 13 out of his last 14 MMA fights, JJ Ambrose is considered one of the top Lightweight fighters in the world not currently signed to a UFC contract.

Training with the American Kickboxing Academy for his MMA bouts, JJ Ambrose is a member of the Subfighter competition team when he is not participating in a training camp in San Jose.

Having received his purple belt under Tracy Hess, JJ was recently recognized with his brown belt promotion following a trip back to Southern California. Tracy Hess was promoted to black belt under UFC/PRIDE FC veteran Chris Brennan and has a 5-1 pro MMA record himself, with his one loss coming to UFC Star Jake Shields via Decision.

JJ Ambrose will be fighting in Saipan Sept. 9th, as he looks to improve his overall fight MMA record to 16-3 as a pro.
