Tiger Muay Thai to be featured on new Jean-Claude Van Damme reality TV Show Guardian Angel

Legendary, that is how you would describe Jean-Claude Van Damme. The guy who first brought Muay Thai to the main-stage with his 1989 Movie ‘Kickboxer’ is busy putting together a new reality TV show. Entitled ‘Guardian Angel’ the television show will air in France, and will feature several contestants battling for the opportunity to become JCVD’s personal assistant.

Looking to showcase Muay Thai during the tv show, JCVD contacted Thailand’s #1 training facility, when he asked if Tiger Muay Thai and MMA Phuket would be willing to send a trainer onsite for filming. Sending 3x Lumpinee Champion Wattanachai Kaewsamrit, the contestants of the Guardian Angel were treated to a 5am wakeup call as they were dragged to the beach and forced to complete a rigorous ‘Thai’ training routine.

The official air date has not been set for the TV program, although it is expected to be broadcast in France sometime in 2012. TMT looks forward to hosting Jean Claude Van Damme at the camp during his next visit to Phuket Thailand.

Dana White wears Tiger Muay Thai t-shirt on recent HD Net ‘Inside MMA’ TV show

It doesn’t get much bigger for a gym than having UFC President and MMA Icon Dana White wearing your shirt on National TV.

On the most recent 200th episode of ‘Inside MMA’ Kenny Rice and Bas Rutten took an in depth look at the dramatic growth of MMA since the Television show Inside MMA began 4 years ago.

Tiger Muay Thai and MMA training camp, Phuket, Thailand really appreciates all of the support Dana White has given the gym. When 3x Lumpinee Champion Kru Rattanachai was trying to raise close to $50,000 to save the life of his newborn baby, Dana White came forward with the donation, saving ‘Tuptim’. His generosity and support of Tiger Muay Thai is something that goes beyond business and Tiger Muay Thai is looking forward to hosting him at the facility in the future, rolling out the red carpet and treating him like family.

Ricky from Perth, Australia featured in UFC the Magazine with Tiger Muay Thai

Thank you Ricky for the kind words on Tiher Muay Thai and MMA, Phuket, Thailand in the latest UFC The Magazine on news stands in Australia.

Ricky 22 years old, had never traveled internationally when he decided that Tiger Muay Thai was the perfect gym for him to train at in Thailand. Getting in a day of training at TMT was a once in a lifetime experience, which lead him to write the editors of the magazine. Loving the mountainous surroundings and humid training weather, Ricky enjoyed his trip and Tiger Muay Thai is looking forward to his return.

TMT Alumni ‘Young Jesper’ and brother Matthias Freyschuss get wins at Gladius Adrenaline 12

Congratulations to Jesper Freyschuss on his impressive performance at the Gladius Adrenaline 12 event in Sweden last weekend.

Jesper competed for Tiger Muay Thai and MMA Training camp, Phuket, Thailand during several BBQ Beatdowns and grappling tournaments. Eventually after spending 6 months at Tiger Muay Thai he was awarded his BJJ Blue Belt under the supervision of Wiktor Svensson and Professor Ray Elbe.

Jesper’s younger brother Matthias also spent an extended training camp at the Tiger Muay Thai and MMA Phuket facility, competing in several BBQ Beatdowns himself. Wanting to fight the same night as his brother, he also competed on the Gladius Adrenaline 12 event. Winning his fight in the first round against the very experienced Johan Nejdebring, Matthias made it a clean sweep for the TMT Brothers!

Legendary MMA Striking coach Steve Petramale comes to Tiger Muay Thai for a boxing seminar Oct. 4th

Tiger Muay Thai and MMA Phuket is thrilled to have the opportunity to host Steve Petramale at our Muay Thai and Mixed Martial Arts training facility on Oct. 4th for a Boxing seminar.

Steve appeared on the National Geographic documentary ‘Fight Science’ and for years served as the boxing coach for Brazilian Top Team.

Having worked with legendary fighters such as; Vitor Belfort, Minotauro Nogueira, Murilo Bustamante, and Mario Sperry, his reputation as an instructor has been proven.

UFC Ultimate Fighter Alumni and ATT Brown Belt Ben Starkes arrives @TigerMuayThai

Training is jam packed with talent at the moment @TigerMuayThai and MMA Training Camp, Phuket, Thailand. American Top Team brown belt Ben Stark has arrived with teammate Taylor Krahl, as both fighters are looking to compete in professional Muay Thai bouts during their training trips to Phuket Thailand.

4-1 as a professional, and a BJJ Brown Belt, Ben Stark is joining an action packed list of training partners at Tiger Muay Thai and MMA Phuket which include;
