Q: Where is Phuket, Thailand?

Phuket is an island on the southwestern coast of Thailand that is approximately 60 km long and 20 km wide. The flight from Bangkok is just over an hour, or about 12 hours by road.

The Sarasin bridge, located north of the airport, connects Phuket to the mainland. Phuket has a population of +400,000, and has several towns (Tambon), and cities (Muang), including Phuket City, Patong, Thalang, Karon and Kata, Kamala, and Chalong (where the camp is located).
