UFC Fighters at Tiger Muay Thai

The smell of blood, sweat and tears fill the air at the MMA(mixed martial arts) room at Tiger Muay Thai and MMA Training Camp in Phuket, Thailand. The talent floating around the training camp is becoming that of an impeccable nature. Tiger is hosting five guests who are currently signed to the most prestigious MMA organization in the world, the Ultimate Fighting Championship(UFC).

Omari Akhmedov, Sweden’s Magnus Cedenblad, and Danny Mitchell of England can all be found prepping for their upcoming fights in the tropical training camp in Phuket that is Tiger Muay Thai.

Coming off his UFC debut victory January 4th in Singapore, Mairbek Taisumov, (21-4) is itching to step in the cage again. Taisumov is in the works for his next fight as he makes his name known in the UFC lightweight class..
UFC Fighters at Tiger Muay Thai

At UFC Fight Night 36,February 15, 2014, in Jaraguá do Sul, Brazil fellow Chechen fighter, Zubair Tuhugov(15-3), will be making his UFC debut against promotional mainstay Thiago Tavares in his first fight at featherweight.

After Omari Akhmedov’s (12-1) Fight of the Night award bonus against Thiago Perpetuo at UFC Fight Night 32, he decided to come back to Tiger Muay Thai to prep for his next fight against the ever so dangerous, Gunnar Nelson(11-0-1) on March 8, 2014 at UFC Fight Night 37 in London, England.

Danny Mitchell(14-4-1) will be making his UFC debut on the same night as he joins Akhmedov at UFC Fight Night 37: Gustafsson vs. Manuwa, in London, England against Igor Araujo(24-6). Mitchell, also known as, “The Cheesecake Assassin,” was a final pick at Tiger’s intense three-day MMA tryout in November of last year.

Magnus Cedenblad(11-4) made his first trip out to Thailand to check out the camp at Tiger Muay Thai. In Cedenblad’s UFC debut he defeated Jared Hamman at UFC 164: Henderson vs. Pettis 2. Cedenblad is also a teammate and sparring partner with UFC light heavyweight, Alexander Gustafsson.

One of Tiger’s MMA coaches, UFC veteran, Roger Huerta, talked about the amount of talent that can be found at Soi Tad Led. “This is the most talent I’ve seen here,” said Huerta. “Especially when they are having their training camps here.” As the MMA program continues to grow at Tiger watch out for more and more elite fighters coming to this world renown fight camp.
