TMT’s Claire Haigh defends WPMF 135 pound World Muay Thai Championship

Tiger Muay Thai and MMAtraining camp, Phuket, Thailand Team Tiger Muay Thai fighter Claire Haigh defended the 135 pound WPMF World Muay Thai championship on April 18 in Phuket, Thailand with a 4th round TKO (Referee stoppage) over Kwanta Soonkeeranakornsree of the Soonkeeranakornsree gym in Nakorn Sri Thammarat.

Claire dominated the early rounds using her powerful leg kicks to gain points and slow her opponent. In the 3rd round, the fighters turned to the clinch and again Claire showed she can fight at distance or close-in scoring with knees and throws.

In the all important 4th round Claire went back outside and punished her opponent with hard body shots which clearly winded the experienced Thai opponent before the referee had seen enough and called a stop to the fight as Claire defended her title she originally won in Jan 2010 over Lelio Page from France.
