In a fight he calls “too strange to describe,” guest Tiger Muay Thai Thai and MMA training camp, Phuket, Thailand fighter Mike Heller cranked out a third round knockout at Bangla Stadium last night against veteran fighter Komsorn.
Fighting is a long way from his finance background in Germany, but Heller wouldn’t have it any other way.
“I just wanted to fight Muay Thai once,” he says. “When I stepped into the ring I wasn’t even thinking about anything. My mind just went blank.”
Four and a half weeks of private sessions with TMT trainers Aon and Nong soon kicked in and sent Heller on his way.
“During the second round I hurt my foot. In the third I eventually got him with a lot of hook shots and finally knocked him out with a left hook and a knee combo.”
Training wraps up for Heller today as he flies back to his new home in America with his girlfriend Marina.
