Tiger Muay Thai and Mixed Martial Arts Training Camp, Phuket, Thailand has been a pioneer in the sports of MMA and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu within the region of Southeast Asia for many years.

When the historic Abu Dhabi Professional Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Cup Trials held their recent Southeast Asian event–Tiger Muay Thai again assisted the growth within the region by providing two event refs.

Tiger Muay Thai assistant instructor and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Brown Belt Rafael Pinto Lopes of Sao Paulo Brazil volunteered to work the event as an assistant ref for the historic event.

Head ref of the grappling event was American Top Team black Belt and Tiger Muay Thai fighter Adam Kayoom. The historic event in Kuala Lumpur is one that was met with great excitement within the region.

Tiger Muay Thai represented well placing 6th overall in the team standings with Korean Grappling sensation and assistant coach Tommy Yang winning gold in his division and the blue belt absolute–which earned him a full expense paid trip to compete in April in Abu Dhabi and a chance at a 7,000$ prize.
