Congratulations to all the Tiger Muay Thai and MMA Phuket alumni who put forth such a dominate performance at the recent Swedish National Shootfighting Championships.

Competing under a combination of mixed rules, opponents were allowed to utilize kickboxing techniques while standing, in conjunction with Submission Grappling as they competed on the ground.

Showcasing his skills, Jesper Freyschuss took home a bronze medal in the featherweight division. A BJJ Blue Belt under MMA Phuket’s head instructor Professor Elbe, Jesper went undefeated with a perfect 3-0 record. Disappointing, the silver and gold medalist were 2-3 in competition, but due to their amount of matches, eventually ranked higher in the ‘overall standings’

Also capturing a bronze was Jesper’s younger brother Matthias Freyschuss.

Highlighting two other Tiger Muay Thai alumni, Lucas Widerman took a silver medal in the welterweight division, while Pannie Kianzad took a gold in the womens +60 category.
