Tiger Muay Thai and MMA training camp , Phuket, Thailand alumni Jon Fitch started his UFC career with a perfect 8-0 record before losing a 5 round decision against GSP for the UFC Welterweight Championship at UFC 87.

Following that loss to George St. Peirre, Fitch headed to Phuket, Thailand for a training camp at the Tiger Muay Thai and MMA Phuket training facility.

Focusing on his stand-up striking and Thai boxing skills  and working with fellow AKA teammate and Strikeforce Veteran Nate Moore, Fitch spent a + month working his striking under the instruction of Tiger Muay Thai and MMA Phuket Thailand’s top Thai boxing coaches.

After his trip to Thailand, Fitch has gone 5-0 in the UFC, improving his overall UFC record to a strong and impressive 13-1.

Waiting in line for teammate Josh Koscheck and newly acquired Jake Shields to compete for the Welterweight belt, Fitch wants to stay active with high profile and tough fights.

Following BJ Penn’s impressive 21 second KO against former UFC Champion Matt Hughes, Jon Fitch has agreed to face UFC legend BJ Penn at UFC 127, as a co-main event for the UFC’s second trip to Sydney Australia.
