7:30 a.m -8:00 a.m. Running Program and Technique Class
Running Program
Muay Thai fighters run. Plain and simple. Running builds stamina, endurance and cardio conditioning to prepare for a 5-round Muay Thai Fight. Tiger Muay Thai trainers are @ the camp waiting for the guests every morning and afternoon. (Running Program is not mandatory, but suggested)
Trainers will take guests on a variety of runs from 3 to 7 km near the camp. From flat roads to hills and up and down mountains past Buddhist temples and waterfalls. Run at your own pace, but the trainers will keep an eye on you.
Muay Thai Technique Class
There is no better way to learn effective Muay Thai techniques than getting in the ring with the Muay Thai trainers and learning a variety of techniques. This is not a workout. This is slow and deliberate training of proper technique for beginners to advanced students. After practicing and learning the Muay Thai techniques, you will use those techniques in the ring on pads with trainers, sparring with guests and trainers, ad on the training stations and bags.

8:00 a.m - 8:30 a.m : Warm-Up
Warm-up includes skipping rope, tire bounce, shadow boxing, and stretching, and getting hands wrapped before beginning the morning training session. Proper warm-up is the best way to prevent injury and an important part of the process of training Muay Thai.
8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Muay Thai Training in the ring, on the pads, and on the bags with trainers.
The heart of the training session begins at 8:30 a.m. and is part of a weekly focus schedule that concentrates on all the important aspects of learning correct Muay Thai. Sparring (Boxing) is on Monday-Wednesday-Friday Mornings. Guests will spar with trainers and other guests @ 75% power and 75% speed. This is not about showing off or hurting your sparring partner, but understanding the rythem and footwork, head movement, bob-n-weave and other techniques that make for good boxing which is an important part of your overall Muay Thai training.
Tuesday - Thursday - Saturday is C.O.R.E conditioning that concentrates on building good abdominal strength and conditioning. The trainers will use a variety of old-school Muay thai and modern techniques lie medicine ball training, sit-up, crunches, etc to help guests build the six-pack ab muscles that are the trademark of a good Muay Thai fighter.
Depending on which training program you are in, you will be expected to train 3-5 rounds on the Muay Thai pads alone with the trainer. He will make adjustments to your technique if needed, but the focus of the pad work is to keep you moving and prepared for offense and defense.

You will also train together on the bags doing a variety of old-school and modern techniques for training hands, knees, elbows and kicks on the pads. The trainers are active throughout the entire session and will often change the amount of time you train from 3-minute rounds and 1-minute break to 5-minute rounds. If you are preparing for a fight, being able to compete Five-5-minute rounds will better prepare you for a 5-three-minute round fight in the ring.
Be prepared. The trainers are constantly changing aspects of the training to better prepare you and teach you traditional Muay Thai. Expect to train in the Muay Thai Clinch circle and other old-school techniques which have been the staple of training for Muay Thai fighters for centuries. One thing you can ber certain of is that after 3+ hours of training, you will know you have been training hard.
10:30 -11:00 a.m. Cool Down and stretching
Loosen tightened muscles and help prevent cramps and then head over for a electrolyte drink and protein shake at he Tiger Grill.
Private Lessons
For those of our guests that want even more one-on-one training with their favorite trainer, we offer private lessons available with all of our uay thai and MMA trainers @ the camp. One-on-one lessons are the best way to dramatically improve your skill level, and a great way to show appreciation to the trainer of your choice.
3:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Running program and Technique Class
The Afternoon training session is similar to the morning session starting with the running program and technique class. The schedule for the technique class and what is being taught by the trainers is posted on the gym bulletin board near intermediate ring and Tiger Grill.

4:00 - 4:30 p.m. Warm-up
Skipping rope, shadow boxing, tire bounce, calisthenics and wrapping hands.
4:30 -6:30 p.m. Muay Thai training one-on-one with trainers in the ring, o the pads, on the bags and training stations. Clinch circle training (very difficult) and a variety of old-school and modern training techniques.
6:30 - 7:00 p.m Cool Down
7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Private Lessons
This is a typical days training in Muay Thai @ our trainig camp.
We train 2 X per day @ 4 hours per session.
That is 8 Hours of hardcore training per day.
For those guests that like to lift free-weights and ride bikes, we have a complete free-weight area with nautilus machines, lympic benches, 3-sets of dumbells, bikes, and more for your use.
Our MT training program is designed and scheduled by Ajarn Mac, a Master Instructor who has fought and worked as a trainer with some of Thailand's best fighters for 38 years in Bangkok. If you want to fight like a Thai fighter....then train like a Thai fighter.
All of our guests are given a Physical / Conditioning test and skills evaluation their first day of training. A TMT Advanced Trainer will evaluate your level of conditioning and MT or MMA skills and assign you to one of our training programs: Basic / Intermediate / Advanced.
Every two weeks guests are tested on conditioning, performance, and skill level. When the Head-Trainer in each area feels you have learned pr progressed enough, he will promote the guest to the next training level.
For those of our guests that are new to Muay Thai, MMA, or Martial Arts in general, we have a complete beginners training program. Learn how to punch, kick, block and defend, move, Wai Kru, and all the basic techniques of Muay Thai. Learning basic combinations, blocking and defense, and conditioning are the focus areas of the Basic Muay Thai Training Program.
For our guests that already have some experience in Muay Thai, MMA, or Martial Arts in general, we have an intermediate training program and training area. Instructors work with our guests on developing their skills, increasing conditioning level, and learning higher level techniques. Sparring, boxing combinations, clinch and conditioning are focus areas of the Intermediate training program
TMT Phuket's Advanced Training and Fighter's Program is available for guests that already have experience in Muay Thai and have trained, and/or fought Muay Thai in Thailand or in their own country.
The Advanced Training program works on training for "fighter level" conditioning, effective ring / fighting techniques and tactics, and developing speed and power.The program uses a variety of drills and training techniques, sparring,running and sprints, heavy clinch work and, mixed combinations using feet, legs, elbows, and knees in powerful combinations. The focus of the Advanced Training / Fighter's Program is to prepare guests @ the highest level for Amateur and Professional Fights.
The morning session begins early @ 7:00 a.m. and some guests come in earlier (6:45 a.m.)to warm-up with a morning run on the quiet road in front of the gym or up into the mountains, shadow boxing in front of the mirrors, or skip rope. Most guests will spend 30 minutes on warm-up. Morning session is the slowest, as some guests are fine with (1) workout everyday. Other more dedicated guests may enjoy more one-on-one time in the mornings.
Kroo Phet and Kroo Dton, and Ngoo lead the stretching sessions everyday in the morning and afternoon. Stretching and working out tight muscles and joints is important for good training and being injury-free. The stretching session last 15-20 minutes. This is also when trainers and guests will apply some heating balm and lotion before beginning workout.
Everyday @ both sessions in morning and afternoon begin with a short technique and demonstration class by our trainers. Guests will assist trainers in demonstrating proper technique, stance, balance, weight-positioning, rhythm to make sure guests understand the principle of Muay Thai fighting style. Guest will learn how to properly attack and defend with hands, elbow, knees, and legs.
After the short muay thai class and demonstration, guests will wrap hands and put on gloves and leg pads. Trainers will teach you how to wrap your hands properly to prevent blisters and fit well inside the glove. A few minutes of warm-up on the agility bag, speed bag, or shadow boxing with gloves.
The bell marks the start of the first round. Trainers will call guests who are ready into the ring to begin your ring work one-on-one with the trainer. The muay Thai trainer will teach you combinations, work on footwork and movement, and technique. Conditioning is a big part of Muay Thai training, so the trainer will push you and engage you to fight back and fire attacks against him. Our trainers wear heavy-duty gear with TWINS arm pads, belly pads, chest protect ers, leg pads. Each round is 2-4 minutes long depending upon type of training that day. Rest period is 1 minute.
When you are working on the heavy, medium, or long (banana) bags, trainers will work with guests on style of kick, speed, power, and endurance. Training on the bags is as tiring as working in the ring. Bag training can be done in sets. 20 leg kicks (each leg) X 5 sets. 25 uppercut Elbows (Each elbow) X 4 sets. Trainers are there to motivate you and push you to achieve your personal goals.
After one-on-one training, the trainers will match up guests or do personal sparring sessions with guests that want some harder action and ring experience. Sparring done at 3/4 speed and power and we use headgear and 16 oz gloves. We also have mouth guards and leg pads. Guests and trainers will spend time together until around 10:00 a.m. Guest usually clean-up and head out for a meal and get ready for the afternoon session.
3:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m.
The afternoon session begins @ 4:00 p.m. Guests will begin by warming up with running (3:45 p.m.), biking, skip rope, shadow boxing in front of mirrors, abdominal's. Trainers will help massage sore muscles and joints with Heating balm and lotion to prepare for workout. Guests sometime arrive at different times, so just jump in when you arrive.
Every workout session @ Tiger Muay Thai & MMA begins with good stretching session to make sure to ward off injury and increase flexibility. Lead Trainer Phet and Dton run the stretching session everyday. Trainers will lead group through a series of stretches to prepare for the days training.
Every morning and afternoon session, trainers conduct a short class on technique and application of different offensive and defensive moves. The trainers will bring students in the ring and demonstrate good and bad technique and the step-by-step movement for each technique. Everyday has a different focus on a technique, and guests can look at a schedule what is taught on certain days.
After the short demo class, the trainers will work with guests in and out of the ring on a variety of drills, exercises, training stations, bag work, footwork, movement, bob and weave boxing, stance, position and many other skills. Guests will work with the Thai trainer in the ring for 5-7 rounds of one-on-one Muay Thai training.
After ring training is finished, many guests will participate in some sparring at 3/4 speed and power with trainers and other guests. Our Muay Thai training camp has all the protective gear a guest will need like head-gear, leg pads, belly pads, and mouth guards.
