Congratulations to Tracy Hess Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Brown Belt and Tiger Muay Thai and MMA Phuket wrestling coach JJ Ambrose on his impressive performance in Guam.

Competing on the main card for one of the premier fight organizations within the Pan Pacific region, JJ defeated Sebastian Garguier. A veteran of 20 professional fights, Sebastian was a tougher opponent than expected, lasting it three rounds and forcing JJ to win via judges decision.

Showcasing superior ground work, JJ dictated the pace of the bout with good ring control and perfectly timed takedowns. Maintaining top control JJ passed guard, and mounted Sebastian several times throughout the first two rounds of action. Putting his striking on display in round 3, JJ finally started showing his improved Muay Thai striking to the delight of the crowd.

Improving his professional MMA record to 17-3, having last loss in 2008 to current UFC standout Mike Pyle, the 24 year old American Kickboxing Academy representative is hoping a call from the UFC isn’t too far away.
