Tiger Muay Thai & MMA Phuket are proud to welcome two of the fastest rising amateurs on the Western Australia Muay Thai circuit.

Cody Woodhouse, 16 and Bruce Atkin, 32 have chosen Tiger to prepare for their bouts at this weekend’s Ignition 6 event in Perth, Australia.

“Our gym, XL Martial Arts (in Mandurah, Australia) train here on a regular basis and they recommended that we come here to prepare” said Atkin.

“We trained with a couple of Tiger’s trainers before, especially Rose who came to XL in Australia. So we thought we would come back to Phuket and return the favour”

XL Martial Arts is owned by longtime Tiger guest and friend, Eric Jensen.

Rising star Cody was impressed with what TMT Phuket brought to his training schedule.

“The facilities here are awesome. The trainers, the equipment, it’s all really, really good. I never thought it would be this good”

Woodhouse is training under the wing of veteran Australian fighter Bruce Akin, who himself is part of a big name card this Saturday in Perth.

“This is Cody’s sixth fight. The young boy is doing extremely well. Tiger is a great place to get away from it all on the lead up to some tough fights”

Ignition 6 takes place at John Forrest High, Morley WA this Saturday from 1pm.
