Tiger Muay Thai alumni Kyle Kingsbury scores 20 second KO at UFC 126

While Anderson Silva was awarded an additional 75,000$ for KO of the night after his legendary ‘teep’ Kick Knockout over Vitor Belfort, many people thought Tiger Muay Thai and MMA training camp, Phuket, Thailand alumni and AKA product, Kyle Kingsbury deserved the bonus after his exciting 20 second TKO victory over Brazilian Ricardo Romero.

Displaying great Muay Thai striking, Kingsbury landed a brutal knee to the body before forcing the ref to stop the fight with a flurry of punches barely 20 seconds into round 1. Kingsbury is now 3-1 in the UFC, 10-2 overall and quickly establishing himself as one of the most exciting fighters in the LHW division. Look for Kyle to return to TMT with his father Rick Kingsbury later this year. Rick is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Purple Belt under legendary Dave Camarillo.

UFC Star Mike Swick returns to Tiger Muay Thai and MMA

Guest of Tiger Muay Thai may have noticed American Kickboxing Academy superstar Mike Swick at the Tiger Muay Thai and Mixed Martial Arts Training Camp. Swick a multiple time guest of TMT is vacationing on the island and will be stopping into the facilty to workout while he is in Phuket.

Mike Swicks teammate and fellow TMT alumni Jon Fitch will be facing BJ Penn next month when the UFC heads to Sydney Australia.

Tiger Muay Thai fights go 3-0 on Phi Phi Island adventure trip

Tiger Muay Thai and MMA training camp fighters went 3-0 on an adventure trip TMT planned for guests and fighters to go to Phi Phi island, which is the same movie where Leonardo Dicaprio filed “The Beach.”

Tiger Muay Thai plans adventure trips for guests and fighters to places like Phi Phi Island, Phang Nga, Kao Lak, and Ko Phang Ngan for full moon parties, adventure and fight trips.

It was a night of “2′s” as TMT won all three fights with 2nd round KO’s as Jonny, Anna, and Tanwa all Ko’ed their opponents.

Australian MMA Superstar Richie ‘Vas’ Vaculik training at TMT with Pro Rugby Player Reni Maitua

Reni Maitua is no stranger to violence, having played professional Australian Rugby and winning the premiership as a member of the Bulldogs RLFC. Having trained at Tiger Muay Thai and MMA training camp, Phuket, Thailand several times in the past, Reni has returned to Tiger Muay Thai and MMA Phuket with one of the top ranked Featherweight MMA fighters in Australia.

Richie ‘Vas’ Vaculik is currently 6-1 as a professional in MMA with his only loss being a 5 round decision for the CFC World Championship belt in March of 2010. Since that disappointing loss Richie Vas has picked up two consecutive wins, including an impressive RNC on the prestigious IMPACT FC fight card. Richie will be stepping into the cage again in April and has used TMT to jump start his training camp.

K1 fighter the ‘Hong Kong Bomber’ returns to Tiger Muay Thai

Tiger Muay Thai and MMA training camp, Phuket, Thailand welcomes back K-1 Max veteran Heung Pak Wing for another training trip. ‘The Hong Kong Bomber’ is one of the top strikers in Southeast Asia. Pak Wing has had a long term relationship with Tiger Muay Thai and we have loaned him World Champion trainer Kru Goi for several training camps.

A veteran of more then 25 K-1/Muay Thai fights, he owns a very successful gym in Hong Kong and has returned with several of his top students.

Tiger Muay Thai alumni Nate Moore scores huge 2nd round KO for Strikeforce

Congratulations to Former Tiger Muay Thai and MMA, training camp, Phuket, Thailand alumni and Purdue wrestling team captain Nate Moore on another impressive performance for the prestigious Strikeforce MMA Event this weekend.

Nate finished the fight early in the second round when he KO’d Team Quest product Nathan Coy in just 25 seconds. The bout was streamed on Sherdog.com and was a featured undercard fight for the Nick Diaz Vs. Cyborg event held at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif.

Taking Coy’s back in the first round, Moore showed great control early before having position reversed by a front headlock. Nate Moore–a recent Nogi Mundial medalist in BJJ attacked with a Kimura as Coy defended with some Ground and Pound as the round came to a close.

Landing a huge right hand to start round 2, Nate Moore improved his record to 7-2 proving that the American Kickboxing Academy welterweight is one of the top up and coming welterweights in Strikeforce.
