April 22nd TMT brings 2x BJJ Black Belt Mundial Medalist and ADCC Qualiying Champion Tony Eduardo Lima to Phuket Thailand for a seminar

Tiger Muay Thai and MMA Phuket constantly looks to provide it’s guests with the best trainers from around the world. Continuing to push to new heights, Tiger Muay Thai is welcoming back Brazilian Jiu Jitsu phenom Tony Eduardo Lima for a seminar April 22nd.

Tony received his black belt at only 22 years of age under the legendary Rillion Gracie. A 7x Southern Brazilian Champion, Professor Eduardo has placed in the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu World Championships twice, and won the prestigious ADCC Qualifying Championships in 2005.

The seminar will be April 22nd, at 4pm and the cost is only 1,200THB. To RSVP your space at the seminar speak to one of the MMA instructors (Ray Elbe, WIktor Svennson, or JJ Ambrose) Space will be limited and this seminar is certain to sell out.

Anyone interested in private training with Professor Eduardo is encouraged to speak to him at the seminar. He will be teaching a limited number of 1 on 1 lessons while he is in Phuket at the rate of 1,500THB per hour.

April 18th Claire Haigh (Tiger Muay Thai) looks to become World Muay Thai Champion Again!

Claire Haigh is one of the top female fighters in the world. Currently undefeated in MMA with notable victories for ESPN STAR SPORTS Martial Combat Event, Claire recently returned from a training trip in the United States. Competing in Submission Grappling Claire took home a gold and silver medal at the prestigious NAGA Grappling tournament before returning from WEC veteran Muhsin Corbbrey’s gym earlier last month.

A former World Champion, Claire has wasted no time as she looks to put the belt back around her waist. After a quick tuneup fight, ‘Claire Bear’ has agreed to face one of the top female Muay Thai fighters in Thailand for the vacant WPMF World Championship.

Purchase your tickets in the office to support Claire Haigh April 18th as she looks to capture the WPMF belt that she held before losing it in a close fight to Muay Thai legend Julie Kitchen during the King’s Cup in Bangkok. Also competing on the card will be Jimmy Allan from Scottland, as he continues to build his resume in pursuit of International bouts. A special Muay Thai demonstration will also be conducted by 2x K-1 Max World Champion Buakaw.

Tiger Muay Thai and MMA Phuket Alumni Jake Shields gets set to battle UFC Champion GSP in Toronto Canada

Tiger Muay Thai and MMA training camp, Phuket, Thailand Alumni Jake Shields is looking to add another Championship belt to his resume. Having already captured the Welterweight Championship and Middleweight belts for Strikeforce.

Shields a former Shooto Champion will look to add the UFC gold to his impressive career when he faces UFC Superstar George St. Pierre in front of 55,000 fans in Toronto Canada.

Shields having won 15 straight bouts with impressive wins against Carlos Condit, Dave Menne, Martin Kampmann, Dan Henderson, Yushin Okami, Jason Miller, Robbie Lawler, and Paul Daley came to Tiger Muay Thai to work on his Muay Thai striking while he was on the Island of Phuket.

One of the top grapplers in the world Shields will look to utilize his striking to set up a takedown as he looks to finish the fight with his trademark American Jiu Jitsu.

Jason Saggo moves to 4-0 in professional MMA with win in Ontario Canada

Congratulations to Tiger Muay Thai and MMA Phuket Thailand alumni Jason Saggo. Jason has trained at Tiger Muay Thai on several occasions winning an impressive 4 man amateur tournament during one of the early BBQ Beatdown events, and competed for Team MMA Phuket in Muay Thai and Grappling compeititions.

After a training camp in Hilo Hawaii with BJ Penn and Co., Saggo a former Pan Asian Grappling Champion and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Purple belt put on an impressive display against Taylor Solomon. Defeating him by armbar in the 2nd Rd.

Jason Saggo made a statement as a promising up and coming fighter. Picking up the win on the Knockout Entertainment MMA promotion, the fight card also featured MMA Names Chris Horodecki, Jordan Mein, and Josh Burkman.

Look for Jason Saggo to be back at Tiger Muay Thai in January sometime.

Brayden Summers stays undefeated in MMA as he moves up Australia’s LW rankings

Congratulations to Tiger Muay Thai and MMA training camp, Phuket, Thailand Alumni Brayden Summers. A BJJ Blue Belt under professor MagicalRay Elbe, Brayden showcased his toughness defeating previously unbeaten Rusty Mcbride via RNC in rd. 2.

After a tough first round that saw Brayden defend a no arm darce attempt, and a body triangle this Team Nemesis representative came out aggressive to start round 2. Gaining top position Brayden worked some GNP with his elbows before Mcbride eventually exposed his neck for the choke.

With the win at Kings of Kombat 3, Brayden has improved his professional record to 4-0, with another scheduled bout for the Australian Fighting Championship on the event calender. Brayden will be back at Tiger Muay Thai for the Martial Combat season, a MMA event showcased on the ESPN STAR Sports network to a broadcast of over 310 million homes in 24 different countries.
