WMC World Light Weight Champion and Swedish K-1 star Rickard Nordstrand @ Tiger Muay Thai and MMA Phuket

Swedish K-1 Star Rickard Nordstrand arrived at Tiger Muay Thai and MMA Phuket this week for another training camp. Rickard, a multiple time guest of Tiger Muay Thai and MMA Phuket is the WMC World Light Heavyweight Champion, and is riding a 3 fight winning streak with impressive wins against Alex Dally, Clifton Brown, and Jiri Zak.

Tiger Muay Thai and MMA Alumni Ammar Tchalabi wins @ Desertforce via armbar

Mixed Martial Arts has truly gone global. After Middle Eastern entertainment company, Flash Entertainment purchased a portion of the UFC, the entire region has seen a surge of MMA promotions. One of the regions most prestigious events is called Desertforce and is held in Jordan.

Tiger Muay Thai and MMA training camp, Phuket, Thailand Alumni Ammar Tchalabi competed for Desertforce won his fight via armbar in the first round. Having trained at Tiger Muay Thai with BJJ Black Belt Ray Elbe, Tchalabi returned to Saudi Arabia to finish his training camp this win was an impressive showing.

June 6th MMA Fantasy Camp at Tiger Muay Thai and MMA Phuket 4pm-8pm

June 6th Tiger Muay Thai and MMA training camp Phuket, Thailand will be giving fans of MMA a very rare opportunity. Bringing in 3 high level professional MMA Fighters, Tiger Muay Thai and MMA Phuket will be presenting a 1 day only, 4 hour FANTASY MMA CAMP.

Starting at 4pm Guest will be guided through a 4 hour Training camp led by;

Former WEC Fighter Muhsin Corbbrey. Covering Boxing with an emphasis on MMA. Corbbrey is a former WEC fighter and Elite XC veteran. In his last professional Bout, Corbbrey was victorious in the Martial Combat promotion—an event showcased on ESPN STAR Sports in 24 countries to a broadcast of over 310 million homes. Known for his natural head movement, Corbbrey has competed in professional boxing, MMA, and Muay Thai and is considered one of the top 155lbs strikers in the world, the Lloyd Irvine Purple Belt has been training at the camp for an upcoming fight against Adrian Pang.

WEC vet and former UFC fighter Brodie Farber will be showing wrestling for MMA. Brodie Farber is a veteran of over 20 professional MMA bouts and currently holds the rank of Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Having trained in Southern California, he has had the opportunity to experience MMA training at a professional level. This former Rage In The Cage Champion has nearly 10 years of Professional MMA experience.

Gracie Barra Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt Steve Gable will cover BJJ for MMA. Currently he is 5-1 as a professional. The Elite XC Veteran is one of the top 155lbers not currently signed to a ‘Major’ promotion. He has been out here training for a ‘rumored’ bout on HD Net. Gable is currently training at Reign MMA and gets an opportunity to train with many of the MMA Stars training between that facility and King’s Training Facility.

Tiger Muay Thai and MMA training camp alumni Jason Saggo stays unbeaten at 5-0

Tiger Muay Thai and MMA, training camp, Phuket, Thailand would like to congratulate Jason Saggo on his recent win in Ontario Canada. Fighting for the Live MMA promotion, Saggo competed on the main card for a promotion that featured MFC Star Ryan Ford, PRIDE FC vet Marcus Aurelio and UFC legend Karo Parisyan. .

Heading into the bout against Derek Boyle, Jason Saggo was facing an opponent with nearly twice as many professional bouts on his record. Showcasing his submission grappling skills, Jason Saggo won midway through the third and final round with a RNC submission.

Saggo has trained at Tiger Muay Thai several times in the past, and besides winning the BBQ Beatdown LW Grand Prix, captured the Pan Asian Gold medals for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and remained undefeated in his professional Muay Thai bouts while at Tiger Muay Thai and MMA Phuket.

Look for Jason Saggo to return to TMT sometime in the future. With this recent victory Jason Saggo is now a perfect 5-0 with all bouts being finished via submission, Saggo is quickly establishing himself as one of the top LW’s in Canada not signed to a major promotion.

K-1 Champion and UFC Star Mark Hunt training at Tiger Muay Thai and MMA Phuket

Tiger Muay Thai and MMA training camp, Phuket, Thailand welcomes K1 superstar Mark Hunt.

Not many fighters have a legacy like Mark Hunt’s. In 2001 Hunt won the K-1 World Grand Prix at heavyweight, before transitioning into a career of MMA. Fighting in PRIDE FC, Hunt beat Cro Cop and Wanderlia Silva, in addition to an amazing fight with Fedor Emelianenko,that lasted for more than 8 minutes, without a stop in action.

After an impressive ‘walk off’ KO win in his UFC debut, Mark Hunt of the American Top Team is back in the gym preparing for his next bout. If you see Mark Hunt around the Tiger Muay Thai and MMA Phuket training facility, feel free to ask him for an autograph, the New Zealand native is one of the friendliest personalities in the gym!
