Bernueng wins International Muay Thai Fight in Malaysia with KO
TMT World Muay Thai champion, Berneung, scored a 3rd round KO in his fight in Malaysia on Saturday, August 30, 2008. berneung, WMC World Muay Thai champion won with a 3rd round Ko over his Thai opponent in the event which featured several top fighters including Muay Thai Contender Asia fighter, Pitu Sans, and several other Thai champions.
Berneung will be heading to Australia in October to be featured fighter in a Muay Thai promotion.

Here, Berneung fights 5-time Muay Thai champion Namsaknoy last June.

Interview with Alan “The Talent” Belcher (UFC veteran MMA Fighter)
This is an interview TMT conducted with 6-time UFC veteran MMA fighter Alan “The Talent” Belcher of REMIX MMA from Biloxi, Mississippi, USA. Alan, 12-5 in MMA, has spent the last month training Muay Thai and MMA @ TMT to prepare for his upcoming fight with Ed Herrman.
TMT: You are already known as a strong striker, what made you want to work on your Muay Thai?
Alan: I wanted to improve even more and I believe Thailand was the best place to improve.

TMT: How does Muay Thai training at TMT differ from training in the states?
Alan: Here at TMT is all professional Muay Thai training and strong repetition that is necessary that is amazing training.
TMT: Is there any specific technique or attack you wanted to polish while at the camp?
Alan: Muay Thai clinch. I really improved my throws and overall clinch game working with Robert, Kay, and Prathet (TMT Trainers)

TMT: Who were your favorite trainers?
Alan: I really liked working with Robert and Prathet. (TMT is sending Prathet to USA to train with Alan in Biloxi, Mississippi, USA)
TMT: How do you like Phuket and training in the tropics?
Alan: Biloxi is not too hot, and we are used to training inside. It is absolutely beautiful here. (Alan did not find it hard to cut weight in the tropics)
TMT: Head MMA trainer, Ray Elbe designed a training program for you for Muay thai and MMA. How was that?
Alan: That worked very well. Ray’s program was professional and tough and really detailed for y upcoming fight.

TMT: Can you tell us about your gym in USA? What motivates you to fight?
Alan: My gym is really growing. I am getting new fighters and trainers all the time. I fight for the fun of it now having fought so many times.
TMT: Were you surprised to see such a good group of grapplers training in Thailand @ TMT?
Alan: Very surprised. Top level grapplers. Tony Eduardo helped my game and Ray is a skilled and technical in his ground game.
TMT: How are the training facilities compared to the states and what you expected?

Alan: Definitely up to par. I expected a dirt floor, but TMT has a 5-star facility.
TMT: Who are your main training partners back home?
Alan: Back home I train with Chad Jay, Tony Roberts, Pat Garry, and Red Schafer.
TMT: When will you be headed back to TMT?
Alan: I hope to have my guy here by end of the year, and be back myself.

Prathet wins by KO @ Bangla Stadium; Randy looses rematch
It was a 1-1 evening at Bangla Stadium Friday night, August 29, 2008 as Prathet made his return to the ring a success with a big KO over his opponent. Randy fighting in a rematch against wiley veteran Mamai. Randy goes the distance over 5-rounds and was in great shape for this fight at 42-years-old. It was a tough fight with Mamai using his experience to edge out the points win. Great fight.

Prathet looks good in his return fight after not fighting for last 2 + months. Prathet will be representing Tiger Muay Thai on a 3-country tour of our affiliate gyms in Sweden, Germany, and USA.

Berneung headlines Muay Thai fight card in Malaysia
WMC World Champion and TMT trainer, Berneung will head to Malaysia to headline a Muay Thai fight card on August 29, 2008. TMT is scheduling premiere fights for Bernueng in the coming months to fight internationaly. Berneung is the #10 ranked fighter in Muay Thai in Thailand and trainer in the Advanced Muay Thai training program @ Tiger Muay Thai.

UFC veteran Alan Belcher gives MMA Seminar @ TMT
UFC Alan Belcher took time out of his busy training schedule prearing for his next fight in the UFC to conduct an afternoon seminar in MMA for Tiger Muay Thai and MMA guests. Alan worked with guests on the mats and in the MMA cage teaching a variety of skills that MMA fighters can use fighting in the cage. TMT wants to Thank Alan for his seminar and for training with us the last month to prep for his fight. Special Thanks to Ray Elbe, Tony Eduardo, and other TMT guests that have worked hard this last month helping Alan prepare for his fight.

Tiger wins 2 loses 1 in Patong; Michael scores 1st rd. KO
Tiger Muay Thai fighters Fahpratan (Thailand), Elliot (Australia) and Michael (U.K.) headlined the Muay Thai fight card at Phuket’s famous Patong Stadium as TMT fighters won 2 and lost 1 on August 25, 2008.
Patong Stadium Champion, Fahpratan scored a close decision over Bangkok women’s Muay Thai fighter with her tough clinch and power shots with her hands. Fahpratan sent her opponent to the canvas in the 3rd round for a standing 8-count winning the fight on points.

Michael, training at Tiger the last few months takes his first fight in Muay Thai against his opponet with 12 fights. Michael is still adjusting from a traditional Martial Arts stance to a Muay Thai stance, but keeps pressure on his opponent scoring with hard leg kicks aand a good left hook. Michael pins his opponent in the corner and lets looses a combination scoring with a big overhand right that puts KO’s the Thai fighter.

Elliot (Australia) returns to Tiger Muay Thai for his 2nd fight. Elliot faces a experienced opponent in Mohmai. Elliot looks great in the first3-rounds scoring well and showing good ring control. The more experienced Thai took the important 4th and 5th rounds to win the fight on points. Excellent fight !
