Jonny and Robert fight Muay Thai in Malaysia March 27, 2009
Tiger Muay Thai and MMA training camp fighters Jonny Betts and Robert aka “Terminator” fight in international Muay Thai event in Malaysia on March 27.
Jonny will facing a 10kg weight disadvantage in a “Superstar” fight and Robert will be facing Chalowlit, a former Thai Muay thai Champion in the main event.
Jonny has compiled a a nice professional record fighting quality opponents from Lumipnee and even Thai trainers from other Muay Thai camps to earn a spot on Main events in international fights.

National Muay Thai Day March 17, 2009 in Thailand
National Muay Thai Day is March 17, 2009 in Thailand in honor of the “The father of Muay Thai” Nai Khanom Thom.
Tiger Muay Thai and MMA training camp will be holding a small ceremony where trainers, staff and guests will offer a garland of flowers and burn incense at TMT’s Buddhist Statue and “samprapoom “Spirit House” in honor of tradition and respect of the National Sport of Thailand.
Guests are welcome to join in the short ceremony before we start training the sport we all love.
Traditional Muay Thai Day is March 17th, or any other propitious day. After speaking with monks from the local Wat Dtai temple they suggested 14th for ceremony at TMT.

Claire scores 4th round KO at MBK Bangkok, Chantal’s opponent a “No Show”
Tiger Muay Thai and MMA training camp womn’s Muay Thai fighters Chantal and Claire headed to Bangkok and the MBK Shopping Center for a night of televised fights on March 11, 2009.
Claire scored a 4th round KO over Thai opponent from a Bangkok gym after opening a bad cut to her head forcing the referee to stop the fight. Claire moves to 7-0 in fights for Tiger Muay Thai and is eyeing a shot at the World title as she continues to impress Thai promoters with her ability, technique and tenacity.
Chantal, the reigning Women’s 67 kg WPMF World Champion, showed up ready to fight but found her Thai opponent nowhere to be found and declared a “NoShow.” Chantal will be fighting next week on an internationally televised broadcast against an opponent from Bangkok.
Upon her return and a period of training, the much awaited fight between TMT’s Chantal and Rawai’s Lindsey will take place probably some time in late April. Should be a good fight between two tough female warriors.

3 Team MMA Thailand members make UFC Ultimate Fighter (TUF 9) cast
MMA has made its way to Thailand and Tiger Muay Thai and MMA camp is leading the way as our current MMA coach Ray Elbe, former coach Alex Reid, and MMA fighter Richie Whiton were announced today as making the cast for the Ultimate Fighter (TUF 9) cast set to debut on April 1 on Spike TV in USA.
Congratulations to all three fighters just on making the final count as more than 10,000 people applied for a shot at the show featuring 32 of the best up-and-coming MMA fighters in the World, though this season’s episode is billed as USA vs UK.
Ray Elbe and Richie Whitson made the USA Squad
Alex Reid made the U.K. Squad.

Tiger Muay Thai fighters go 2-1 @ Patong Muay Thai Stadium March 9, 2009
Tiger Muay Thai and MMA training camp fighters Ritt and Anna scored a pair of 2nd round KO’s as TMT went 2-1 at Patong Muay Thai Stadium on March 9, 2009.
Ritt continued his winning streak scoring a mean right uppercut elbow KO of his Thai opponent in the second round. Ritt is know for his left hooks to the body and head.
Anna (Sweden) scored a 2nd round KO over veteran Women’s Muay Thai fighter to go 2-0 with 2 KO’s on her 2nd trip to Tiger Muay Thai training under WMC World Muay Thai Champion Berneung.
Kanit, 11-1 in his last 12 fights had to take a fight against a higher weight class opponent and got caught in the 3rd round with a hard shot. Kanit recovered to his feet hands up, but the referee had seen enough of the size mismatch and a azed Kanit leaving him at 11-2 before he heads to Hong Kong to teach at an affiliate gym for 3-months.

Anna (Sweden) on her second trip to Tiger Muay Thai enters the ring looking for her 2nd win against her Thai opponent.

Ritt looks to build on his winning streak looking for 5-in-row as he faces a tough challenger from Phang Nga.
Kanit will be having his last fight before leaving on a 3-month teaching trip to an affiliate gym in Hong Kong
