At Tiger Muay Thai training camp we keep a guest services department that can help you with any details or information you may need while staying at our training camp.

VISA Run Information
If you are planning on staying in Thailand for more than 1 month without having acquired a VISA from a Thai embassy in your home country, you will need to renew your VISA by leaving and re-entering Thailand. Tour bus services offer VISA Run trips to the Ranong border in Thailand, and will transfer you by boat to Burma (Myanmar) and back after your passport has been stamped. The tour buses are comfortable and have A/C, play movies and a free lunch is included in the package. The trip is easy to make and can be booked 3-4 days in advance through the office at Tiger Muay Thai.
New VISA laws are in effect as of Dec 2, 2008.
When you arrive in Thailand through an airport, you will be given a free 30 day visa. As of Dec 2, 2008 you will only be granted a 15 day extention (rather than the usual 30 days) by doing a VISA run to the Ranong border. However, if you have a 30-90 day VISA from a Thai Embassy outside of Thailand, you will still be granted a 30 day extention upon doing a VISA run.
The easiest way to stay in Thailand longer than 30 days is to ask our internet manger for an Invitation letter and documentation to attach to your VISA application, and apply at the nearest Thai embassy in your home country. Many guests are granted 90 day to 1 year VISA’s using this method.
For guests that arrive in Thailand and receive a 30 day entry VISA at the airport, you also have the option of making the Penang, Malaysia VISA run trip. It costs 4,500 Baht, takes 2 days, and includes transportation, hotel, transfers to the embassy, and at least 2 free meals. You will be granted a 60 Day VISA to Thailand which can be extended another 30 days at Phuket Immigration.
***The penalty of overstay in Thailand past your exit date is 500 Baht per day***

Tiger Grill
The Tiger Grill offers a Monthly / Weekly meal plan for TMT guests looking to eat healthily and affordably while training at Tiger Muay Thai. TMT guests enjoy eating together at the Grill while watching camp fights, UFC, Ultimate Fighter, international MMA fights, instructional videos, and more.
The Monthly Meal Plan includes 2 meals per day (lunch and dinner) from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Guests can choose between 3 Thai main dishes, BBQ chicken breast, or pork steak with white and brown rice, steamed vegetables, soup, fruit and a bottle of water. Our meal plan saves the average guest 35% of their food costs over a one month period.
Equipment & Training Gear
Our camp has a wide variety of gear available for our guests to use, but you will need your own hand wraps and gloves. Our equipment shop carries everything you may need: gloves, shorts, shirts, mouthpiece, etc. You are also welcome to bring your own.

Transportation
Buses
Buses are available 100 meters from the camp on the main road. They run on a daily schedule to many parts of the island and arrive in 15-20 minute intervals. A small English sign on the front of the bus shows where it is heading, and on average the ride costs 20+ Baht.
Motorbike Rental
Renting motorbikes is an easy and affordable way to get around the island. They are available everywhere on the island and can also be rented through the camp. While riding a motorbike can fun and exciting way to see Phuket and all it has to offer, please be cautious and drive carefully.
Motorbike Rentals: 250 Baht per day, 1500 Baht per week, 4500 Baht per month.
Costs, condition, and types of motorbikes vary with cost.
Taxi or Tuk-Tuk
Tiger Muay Thai has taxis on call and they usually arrive within 15 minutes. They offer set rates to different areas of Phuket and a list of prices are posted in the office. When guests are out and about, some choose to ride Tuk-Tuks which are small open-air vehicles that seat 4-5 people. It is important to always negotiate a fare clearly before departure. Tuk-Tuk’s are easy and convenient, but the prices can be high if not properly negotiated.
Our training camp is centrally located in Chalong. We are approximately 4-5 kilometers from several of Phuket’s best beaches, however we are close to the pier and marina in Chalong and entertainment like boating trips, the Phuket Shooting Range, Paint Ball Fight Zone, diving and scuba instruction, elephant rides, ATV course, detox spas, the Chalong Buddhist Temple, and mountain-top lookouts.
Maid & Laundry Service
We have a laundry service available at the training camp for our guests. The prices are very affordable and also include pick-up and delivery. Guests generally spend between 80-120 Baht per week on laundry. There are also several local laundry places that charge the same as at the camp. The wait is 1-2 days. Be sure to keep track of the items you sent to be washed.
Internet Access
Tiger Muay Thai has free computers and Wi-Fi (wireless) internet for our guests to use at the Tiger Grill and in their rooms. There are also many ADSL internet shops in Chalong that offer access for around 40-50 Baht per hour. These shops also often have photo, copying, fax, and other services.
