Ngoo will be taking his 2nd MMA fight of the month @ Art of War 9 in Beijing, China on November 24, 2007. Ngoo has been training hard with Team MMA Phuket in preparation for his fight.
Look for MMA Phuket Team fighter, Ngoo and Magical Ray to be on Cage Rage Cards in 2008.

It was a long cold trip to the freezing plains of Russia for Ngoo and Magical Elbe as Team MMA Phuket represented Team Thailand in conjunction with Bangkok Fight Club in a Mixed Fight Card on November 12, 2007.
Magical Ray leveled is opponent with a solid combo and "fastball kick" to the forehead which knocked his opponent out. Ray set-up the combination with two spinning back-fists and taking a couple hard shots as well.

Magical Ray kept his win streak alive with another 1st round KO. Ngoo, in his first international fight, lost a points decision in MMA against his Russian opponent in front of nearly 10,000 fans. Ngoo started slowly, admitting he was a bit overwhelmed after fighting in smaller Thai stadiums. But as the fight goes on you start seeing more of Ngoo as he goes on the attack.

Team Tiger Muay Thai fighter, Veronika, added to her winning streak with her 6th straight KO in-a-row with a 3rd round leg kick KO to the WMC Women's Ko samui Champion. Veronika dominated the fight and forcing the referee to stop the fight twice to have her opponent examined by the ringside doctor.
Veronika ended the fight in the 3rd round with a hard kick to the lower jaw of her opponent that left her slumped over the ropes and out for the count.
Veronika is in preparation for her World Title Muay Thai fight at 57 Kilos @ the 2007 King's Cup Celebration in Bangkok December 4-6, 2007.
It was an exciting 3 days of Submission Grappling and Muay Thai in Bangkok as Team MMA Phuket dominates the 2007 SEA Grappling Games and Team Tiger Muay Thai fighter, Veronika captures the S-1 Bangkok 57 Kilo Women's Championship with a 3rd round KO over Thai champion, Busaba @ One Songchai Stadium.

Team MMA Phuket head coach, Magical Ray Elbe and team fighter and TMT trainer, Ngoo, head to Russia for MMA fight card. The fights will be limited ground games to 30 seconds before being stood back up.
Special Thanks To Alex B. of Bangkok Fight Club for all his help and the outstanding job he and BFC did for the 2007 SEA Grappling Games.

UPDATE: Johnny wins by KO and Robert takes title on points.

UPDATE: Andreas wins by Submission + Ngoo WINS by KO

TMT will put 2 fighters on the card on October 2, 2007 as nazee and Team TMT fighter, Marco (Finland) fight @ Bangla Muay Thai stadium. Nazee will be competing in his last fight before heading to U.K. and Marco (1-0) Muay Thai and (0-1) MMA will be in his 2nd Muay Thai fight against veteran Muay thai fighter, Mamai.

People come to Thailand and expect to see Muay Thai fights, however, at Bangla Stadium on September 30, 2007 fights fans were treated to the first ever Thai vs Thai MMA fights to be held in Thailand using PRIDE Fighting rules. MMA Phuket / Tiger Muay Thai & MMA organized the first ever MMA fight in Thailand between Muay Thai fighters trained in MMA and BJJ. This was the first fight in MMA for each of the competitors.
Ngoo, fighting in his first MMA fight after 6+ months training BJJ and MMA with MMA Phuket Team Captain and TMT head MMA Instructor,, Magical Ray Elbe took on Muay Thai fighter, Pasuk, who has trained in Muay Boran, Muay Thai, and spent the last 6 weeks training MMA style fighting and submission grappling.
Team Tiger Muay thai and MMA fighter, Ann, took on up and coming Women's Muay Thai fighter, Dea, who has been training MMA / BJJ for more than 1 month and had a 8 kilo weight advantage on the more experienced MMA fighter, Ann.

It was a stand-up fight in the first round as Ngoo traded Muay thai striking and clinch work before taking his opponent down and almost gets a submission before referee, Ray Elbe, stands the two fighters back up after getting to close to the ropes. In the 2nd round, Ngoo stepped up the pace and went to work with good shoots and slams. He takes Pasuk's back in the neutral corner and slips on the rear-naked-choke for his first win in MMA.
Ann dominated in her debut easily outclassing Dea, a Muay Thai fighter with little MMA experience. Ann showed her superior ground skills moving with ease from side control to mount, to knee to belly, and going to guard several times. Ann stayed alert and on guard for Dea's big shots with her hands and countered Dea's weight advantage by being agile and working from her guard. Ann attempted several submissions from guard before taking mount and dropping big shots down on Dea. Referee, Ray Elbe had seen enough when Dea covered up and failed to defend properly and stopped the fight late in the 2nd round.

A few times a month, Tiger Muay Thai trainers and guests head down to Nai Harn Beach for a saturday morning beach run and work-out including games and competitions. This month it was the TMT trainers that won the monthly "tug-of-war" contest and all the guests had to hand-out 25 push ups in the surf. Guests and trainers joined in some competitive games and pad training for a great morning in the sun and sand and a great way to cool down with a nice swim afterwards.

It was great night for BBQ with clear skies, Thai folk music, huge bonfire, UFC 76 on Big Screen, roasted Chicken and Pork BBQ and lots of friends. Thanks to all the Tiger Muay Thai and MMA guests that attended the party. Did everyone check out that fight of Saohin Vs Ayala ? All we heard most of the evening from the beer kegs was "Ole, ole ole ole." Good food and great times. Thanks to all.
It was big night for Tiger Muay Thai and MMA training camp as Head Boxing trainer, Saohin, stepped into the Muay Thai ring for a S-1 battle @ Bangla Muay Thai and MMA stadium on Sept 25, 2007. Saohin battled in the 8-fighter S-1 tournament defeating all three of his opponents in 3-round fights to win the S-1 Bangla Championship.
Saohin looked great and tore through his opponents even after suffering a bad head-but in the first fight before beating a Rawai Muay Thai trainer and then the last challenger for the win of the S-1 Bangla Championship Tournament.

It will be a historic occasion @ Bangla Stadium on Sept 30, 2007 as for the first time in Thailand, we will have 2 Thai MMA fighters facing each other in the ring. Ngoo (Tiger Muay Thai and MMA) will be taking on Muay Thai veteran and Jiu-Jitsu student (Pasuk) from Buriram.
Ann (Tiger Muay Thai & MMA) will be taking on (Yingtom) Chalong in her first MMA fight. Ann will be continuing to fight MMA and Muay Thai. Ann is scheduled to fight in Smack Girl in 2008 in Japan and has offers for Japanese sponsorship when fighting.
Ngoo is preparing for 2 upcoming MMA fights in Russia as part of the Governor's Cup and in the U.K. in Cage Contenders early next year.

This is a historic event in Thailand as this will be the first time that 2 Thai fighters have learned MMA and will use their Muay Thai skill along with their grappling and Jiu-Jitsu skills in a REAL MMA fight in Thailand.
MMA is the fastest growing sport in the world, surpassing boxing and wrestling already.
Because Muay Thai is an essential aspect of good MMA, Thailand and Muay Thai in general has seen a huge increase in the number of people wanting to learn Muay Thai as it is the #1 Martial Art for stand-up striking as used in a MMA or Ultimate Cage Fighting.
Tiger Muay Thai will continue to lead the way as the #1 promoter and training cam of Muay Thai and Mixed Marital Arts in Thailand.
Miriam Nakamoto brought the WMPO World Title to Phuket and Tiger Muay Thai. The Phuket Gazette was happy to bring the news as Miriam fought a fantastic fight against a big opponent from Turkey. Miriam is looking @ defending her title or challenging another Women's Champion for another of the major title belts.

It was an exciting afternoon as 18 game show participants in a Japanese version of Amazing Race Thailand spent the afternoon @ TMT Phuket. The anticipants split into 2 teams and trained with our Muay Thai trainers for a session learning the basics. It was then time to choose the winners and have a sparring session in the ring. The winner was awarded a 3-round sparring session with TMT fighter Ann.
Thanks to all the participants and the promoters for the event as everybody including the Tiger Muay Thai & MMA trainers that participated along with the film crew and participants for the afternoon.
It was the main event for Women's and Men's Muay Thai as Veronika and Robert each racked up wins in excellent fashion w/ Robert capturing the heavy-weight Title for Tiger Muay Thai @ Bangla Muay Thai stadium.

Veronika started the night off for Tiger Muay Thai & MMA Training camp by winning her 11th fight (15-4) and bringing her KO total to 9. Veronika will be fighting @ OneSongchai Stadium in Bangkok on Oct 20 and is scheduled to fight for WMPO World Title on december 5, 2007 @ King's Cup celebration in Bangkok, the biggest Muay Thai event in Thailand.

Veronika ended the fight in the first with a hard elbow and knee to the head that left her Thai opponent out on the canvas. It was the KO of the evening @ Bangla Stadium and drew a roar of approval from the crowd as other TMT guests cheered Veronika's victory.

Robert was the Main-Event of the evening and had his hands full with former World Champion Jomhod. Robert used his hands and low kicks to set-up a crushing spinning elbow that took a lot of power over the respected former champion. Robert won a 5-round decision in what was one of the best fights of the tear @ Bangla and Roberts biggest win of his career.

Loof for some great fights from Robert and Veronika. Robert is returning to the ring after 3 months training @ LTF and Paule Marchant in London and Robert will need his new boxing skills as he is fighting former Muay Thai World Champion, Jomhort @ Bangla Muay Thai Stadium on September 21, 2007.
Veronika (10-5)w/ 9 KO's is looking for another wins as he goes against Bangkok fighter, Yokkaow.
TMT would like to thank Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt Samy Aljamal for his instructional class covering the fundamentals of the Arm Drag. Samy won the 1999 Abu dhabi championship and in 2000 took first place in the World's Championship (Masters Division).

Samy Aljamal lived in Rio Brazil training in BJJ. Upon recognition of the Black Belt he opened up his own training facility in the Middle East. Samy is currently the only Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt teaching in the Country of Jordan.
Samy was in town celebrating his honeymoon, and as a favor to me taught a great class covering arm drag setups to taking the back.
Look for Samy to return back to TMT with several of his top students in the future. His gym is called "The Source" and is located in Amman Jordan.

Samy has a web site getting ready for launch, keep an eye on

Thanks to all the guests and friends of Tiger Muay Thai and MMA Training camp that came to the fights to cheer on our fighters. It was amazing to hear the entire stadium @ Bangla yelling TMT as our fighters came into the ring. Thanks to all.
Here @ Tiger Muay Thai and MMA Training camp it is all about setting goals and getting better. Even our instructors practice what we preach as we sent Kru Oh to Bangkok for a month's private training with world-renowned Muay Boran / Krabi Krabong Master Instructor Ajarn Daeng. Featured on national geographic and several other television and cable specials world-wide, Kru daeng is one of the most respected Master Instructors in Thailand and working with him is by invitation only.

Kru Oh is back after training with Kru Daeng for the last 5 weeks to better prepare himself as a Muay Boran and Krabi Krabong instructor for the guests learning @ our training camp. Kru Oh was able to concentrate his training for the last 5 weeks and raise the level of his proficiency in techniques and training skills.

Tiger Muay Thai & MMA welcomes the newest member of TEAM TMT, Wade Henderson from South Africa. Wade trained with us previously @ TMT to prepare for his upcoming fights and now he is returning as a member of our fight team and assistant coach for Magical Ray Elbe. Wade will be looking to improve his fight game and will be taking MMA and Muay Thai fights in Thailand and Asia.
Wade won his last fight with a 2nd round TKO over heavy-weight Calude Empina of the Congo. Wade used a series of Muay Thai low leg kicks to debilitate his opponent and end the fight in the 2nd round.

Please excuse our mess as TMT goes topless for the next week as we make improvements to the Advanced training area. TMT will be making several improvements for the high season as we expand at the camp to create the best training facility in Thailand to train Muay Thai and MMA.
Coming this high season: Herbal Suana, Recreation Area, 12 seater jacuzzi, 120 sq meter MMA training area with mats and NEW UFC style competition MMA cage.
It was an exciting 10 days for TMT as our guest fighters went 7-1 at stadiums in South Thailand.

Ngoo X 2, Nazee, David, Ann, Marco, and Christian all racked up wins @ Bangla, Patong, and Ko Phang Ngan in Muay thai fights. David, Marco, Ngoo, and Christian all handed out KO's to their opponents, as Nazee, Ann and Ngoo (2nd fight)won fights on points. The lone loss was veronika that dropped a 5-round decision against a good female Muay thai fighter @ Bangla. In a close fight to the end, we have already scheduled a re-match and Veronika is counting fights in Japan and Singapore in near future.

Tiger Muay Thai / Ultimate Fitness Fighter, Miriam Nakamoto captured the WMPO World Muay Thai Championship @ the Queen's Cup Celebration 2007 at Sunam Luang Park, Bangkok, Thailand on August 12, 2007.
Miriam overcame strange hours, TV delays, and a hardcore opponent to win the World Muay Thai Title. Miriam trained hard @ Tiger Muay Thai and MMA with trainer Jeab and Saohin to prepare. Miriam also trained at Ultimate Fitness in U.S.A. and Thai champion, Thonglor before coming back to Thailand and prepare for her fight. Congratulations to Miriam, TMT Phuket, Ultimate Fitness, trainers Magical Ray Elbe, Jeab, Oh, and Saohin.

Master Toddy and TMT Phuket fighter, Mickey scored two KO's in one night when he won his fight for Tsunami Children's Foundation @ Patong Stadium, August 9, 2007. Mickey, 55-years-old, jumped all over his Thai opponent with heavy right overhands and landed a short elbow that stunned the smaller but more experienced Thai fighter. Before he could regain his senses, Mickey landed a overhand right behind the ear that floored his opponent and the referee stopping the fight. Mickey listened to Master Toddy's advice and used his size advantage and big right hand as his primary weapons.

It was difficult finding an opponent for Mickey as he stands nearly 6'3 and weigh-in @ 110+ kilo. We were all a little apprehensive when the promoter changed to a larger fighter with 40+ fights experience.
After the fight, Mickey surprised the Tsunami Children's Foundation, Director, Tommy Tang with a check for 1, 188,000 baht donated by Mickey, his Las vegas partner, Albert Flangis, and many of their friends from U.S.A. Also in attendance were the several Thai high-ranking Thai government officials @ the event including the Minister Of Education and Minister of Agriculture and commerce.

In December of 2004, one of the most devastating natural disasters of our time hit the southern coast of Thailand. At that time, Albert Flangas and I asked some of our friends to donate to the relief aid in the area around Phuket, Thailand. We have been to the area on several occasions and have always been treated with care and kindness. We wanted to help in any way possible, and with our many friends and associates in the area, we knew we could make a difference. In a very short period, we collected $28,000 in aid relief. With the mismanagement of funds that took place during such chaos, we searched for an organization that would best utilize the financial assistance provided and contacted the people who were most deprived. In our search, Albert and I discovered such an organization called the Tsunami Children Foundation.
Our first $28,000 helped run the organization for their first year in existence. They continue to make great strides in the villages and with the children of the area most affected by this devastation. Attached you will find a brochure (Above)which briefly outlines some of the accomplishments of this group. In the last few years, the organization has continued to receive donations from a variety of individuals mostly in the form of books, computers, and a range of useful items. these items are indeed necessary for the children's growth; however, the children strongly need guidance counselors, teachers, and educational workshops to participate in. The Tsunami Children's Foundation primary need is to receive funding for these endeavors.
On July 26th, I will be leaving for Thailand and Phuket on behalf of TCF. Also, I will be fighting a Muay Thai fight. This will take place on August 9th at Kata Beach resort in Phuket. Some of the Children and the foundation director will be attending the fight, and at that time, I would like to present a check to TCF. Your donations will make this a memorable moment for all present.
Albert and I greatly appreciate those of you whom have donated in the past and who are assisting us again. For those of you gracious enough to participate, we welcome your warm consideration. be assured that all of the money we collect will go directly to the foundation. Again, we are grateful for your kindness and assistance in supporting the future of these children.
Mickey Stratton and Albert Flangas
Mickey Stratton has trained and worked in conjunction with Master Toddy. Mickey, 55-years-old, is training @ Tiger Muay Thai and MMA to prepare for his first Muay Thai Fight against a 25-year-old Thai Fighter. Mickey is setting the standard as 8-10 young Thai Tsunami survivors and school children will come to Patong Stadium to watch as Mickey fights for himself and TCF.
If you would like to help the TCF, please contact them directly or through TMT Phuket and know your money is going to help Tsunami survivors and victims.

Fresh off his successful Fight Girl TV Show on Oxygen TV Network, Muay Thai legend and Master Trainer will bring his students from Las Vegas U.S.A. to compete in fights in Phuket and Bangkok. TMT would like to Thank Master Toddy for all his support in helping TMT Phuket become the premiere Muay Thai and MMA gym in Thailand.

Freddie TKO's former Rajadamnoen Champion, Turbo with power and technique.
Tommy reaches high but falls short against highly experienced fighter.

Ann will be fighting in her 3rd MMA fight and will take on a heavier Thai opponent as she prepares for her first trip to Japan to fight in women's MMA fight shows.

Ann has been training in MMA and BJJ for more than (1) year and also has (5) five Muay Thai fights. Ann is quick on her feet, strong for her size, and loves to take her opponents back while grappling. Ann regularly grapples with guys bigger than her and can hold her own.
It is going to be an exciting night of Muay Thai @ Bangla Muay Thai Stadium on July 31, 2007 as TMT guests, Elina and J.P. step into the ring along with TMT trainers Ngoo and reigning stadium Champion, Watt.

J.P showed a lot of heart against a superior fighter. Cut bad in the first round, J.P fought on while relying on his Muay Thai technique to make a comeback. The referee had seen enough in the 4th round with J.P behind on points and stopped the fight.

TMT trainer / fighter Ngoo extends his win streak to 5 with a 2nd round KO with a hard kick to his opponents jaw that knocked out two teeth and sent the Thai fighter to the canvas. Ngoo has looked very good lately since taking a 2-month break from competing.

Elina could be described as relentless. Elina (2-0)stayed on the attack against her more experienced Aussie opponent Lorla (8-2). Elina, scored a 3rd round TKO with her powerful high and low attacks that left her opponent dazed and in defense .Elina wins the Women's Bangla Muay Thai Championship on July 31, 2007.
TMT says goodbye to Tiger Muay Thai and MMA guest, patron, and friend, John Flicker and his sister, Meredith. This was John's 2nd trip to TMT, and he will be returning in January with some more of his family. John became interested in Muay Thai and has trained with Phet and Nazee. This time John showed some serious improvement in his skills.
He enjoys being in front of the crowd. Even when he was supposed to be a spectator. Expecting to enjoy an evening of a Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) show across the border in Mexico, Ray soon found himself in demand to replace an injured fighter. Not a problem as Ray pulled another arm-bar submission on his opponent like a rabbit out of a hat.
In case anyone forgets, Ray is ranked in top ten on Sherdog for wins by submission by arm-bar. Ray worked a little Muay Thai in the first round giving his opponent a taste of the TMT training from the advanced fighter program under Kru Yod and Jeab. In the 2nd round, Ray turned on the submission grappling and presto, win # 20: submission by arm bar.

Less than 24 Hours later, "Magical" Ray Elbe was competing in the "Desert Quest BJJ/Submission Grappling Tournament." After winning his first 3 matches, Ray took the final to double-overtime before losing a point and his first match in 24 hours of MMA.

There is a time to train and then there is a time to have fun. After a weeks hard training, TMT threw another of our now famous BBQ parties at the training camp. We had Nazee playing live Thai Folk music which quickly turned into a karaoke as TMT staff and guests took turns on the microphone as the bonfire burned in the background and the ice cold beer kegs kept flowing.

60+ TMT guests, staff, and friends of the camp showed up for the "Hooters" style BBQ Chicken on the grill and roasted pork loins. The Tiger Grill cooked up a load of potato and pasta salads along with Thai foods for the hungry guests.
Tiger Muay Thai & MMA is traditional Muay Thai camp that respects the traditions and history of Muay Thai and its' part in the Buddhist Culture of Thailand. On Saturday morning, July 21, TMT had a Buddhist blessing done by nine monks from the world famous Wat Chalong Buddhist temple.
The elder and senior Monk also conducted a blessing on TMT's newest TWINS ring in the "Pa See" ceremony where colored clothes are tied together and blessed with water and gold leaf.

It was a fun filled day of waterfalls, private and hidden beaches, and Thai food as 20+ TMT guests and staff took off for Takuapa and Kao Lak, Thailand on Sunday morning. Gai's mother laid out a feast of Thai food at her home for everyone then we headed down to Sairung (Rainbow) waterfall for some swimming. Em even climbed up the side of the waterfall and did a little meditation.

We then headed out to a private beach hidden and lost among the coves along the coast. Guests enjoyed the surf and water and searched for the sea-shells along the deserted beach.

After spending an hour along the white sands of Pakwib Beach just outside Kao lak, Thailand, we headed over to a National Park for a swim in a large crystal clear pool beneath a waterfall. Guests and staff had fun swinging out into the water on a long rope attached to a big tree. The trainers and guests even coaxed Mai into playing a little "Tarzan,"....but I am pretty sure it was Ngoo who gave the frightened Mai a little push for help. All in all, it was a great day of relaxation after the BBQ party saturday night and the Buddhist Lent ceremony on Saturday Morning. Good friends and good times.

Gaz, a former MMA trainer at TMT Phuket, dominated his fight by quickly mounting his opponent and raining down a series of vicious attacks till the referee stopped the fight @ 4:49 of the first round. Gaz was in great shape for his fight. We were hoping we might see some more of Gaz's Muay Thai skills, but his ground-n-pound game was enough for his opponent Darren Guisha.

Dorlan O'Malley fought a well rounded fight against Robert Powell. O'Malley, a student @ TMT brother gym in London Thai Fighters, wrapped the guillotine choke on Powell at 3:04 of the 3rd round for the Win.
Keeping in touch with former trainers and patrons of the camp, I thought many of our guests would like an update on J.P. Pocock, one of our former MMA trainers @ TMT Phuket. J.P. was a great addition last year and really helped kick start our MMA program along with Daniel Sainty.

After returning to the states, Ohio, J.P married his girlfriend Brittany and finished his degree @ Ohio State University.
TMT would like to congratulate J.P. on opening his own gym, The Fight Farm fighting gym in Perrysville, OH. J.P is an awesome instructor that really knows how to communicate to his students and his conditioning skills are top-notch. J.P. has converted the Barn on the property into a first class training facility. J.P. was also the head coordinator for MMA in the "Arnold Classic 2007" in Columbus, OH.

MMA Phuket welcomes Professional Fighter and trainer, Jakob Sverre Lovstad, from Trondheim Fight Gym in Norway. Jakob is the head instructor and is 12-3 as a professional fighter. He will be staying with Tiger Muay Thai and MMA for the next month with a current student from his gym.
Visit his web site @ www.areyoumywife.com
Allan has been a guest at the camp for the last month. In his spare time, Allan like to make small videos about his trips around the world and his dates. After a little persuasion on "Magical" ray Elbe's part....I think it was an arm bar that finally convinced Allan....lol, he decided to make a video of his time training at TMT and also a highlight video of Ray's fights.
We wish Allan the best on his adventures throughout the rest of world while he is in search of "the perfect date." Cheers and "Chok Dee" from all your friends @ TMT Phuket

TMT guests and trainers spent a morning training at beautiful Nai Harn Beach this Saturday, June 2, 2007. About 25 guests and trainers headed down to Nai Harn, one of the nicest beaches on Phuket Island, for a morning of fun group training. They started off with a nice warm-up up jog down Nai harn and 1km of pure white sand. The training included group drills training in the soft sand which is good for balance and really works the legs.

The great thing about training @ the beach is relaxing afterwards with a refreshing swim or a cool down massage under an umbrella for 100 baht.
For those guests not wanting to go the beach, TMT keeps 10 trainers @ camp for the standard Saturday workout which also include Wai Kru training by Kru Yod and Kru Nazee.
TMT Phuket fighter Remy from France scored a big KO with a uppercut (pictured above)in his first Muay Thai fight in Phuket, Thailand on May 27, 2007. Remy fought an experienced Thai fighter (30+ fights)that weighed 10 kg more. Remy has been to Tiger Muay Thai 2 times and trains with Kru Yod, Ngoo, and Mac.
After 6 fights the previous night and a beautiful day on Saturday, it was time to celebrate with a BBQ party, Bonfire, and a Thai folk song performance by Nazee and several trainers and Thai staff. We all feasted as we watched the fights from the night before and celebrating.

More than 50+ people showed up for the BBQ Chicken and Pork, kegs of beer, a huge Bonfire and the Nazee on a small stage singing a variety of Thai folk songs. We all sat around the stage and bonfire listening to Nazee sing and play his guitar as Kru Phet, Daeng, Em, Ngoo, and others joined him on stage for song and dance. And you thought our Muay Thai trainers were only good at MT.

Damien, Alan, and ray all scored KO's in their fights against their Thai opponents. Frank lost his fight on points after 5 rounds but really improved his Muay Thai skills and defense. David caught an elbow in the 4th round after dominating his fight against ChangNoi and was stopped. We are already looking for a re-match. David returned the next morning to training.

The MMA fight was the best MMA fight Thailand has ever seen. Johnny and Marco went to war. Early, Marco caught Johnny with a couple of big shots while standing, but Johnny went to clinch and took Marco to the mat.
While on the ground, Johnny showed his grappling skills going from side-mount to North and South and then getting to mount. Johnny began firing shots to Marco's head and locking himself into the mount. Marco tried to escape time and time again, but referee Ray Elbe was forced to stop the fight at the end of the first round.
Congratulations to all the TMT Phuket fights who have trained hard the last 2 months in preparation for their fights.

It was great to see our young friends from the Takuapa Orphanage and Thai government Tsunami Housing projects to TMT for a day of training. Tommy Gower, aid worker, Muay Thai enthusiast, and manager of the gym for 422 Project came by with Mon, Arron, Baer, and a couple other of the kids from the gym.

TMT Phuket and our guests will continue to aid the 422 project, Tommy Gower, and the kids. With the help our guests, sponsors, and TMT we are going to make a difference in a few of these young kids lives and give them a chance to succeed.

A night of Champion fighters @ Bangla Stadium as Koy (2 time Lumpinee Stadium Champion) returns to the ring in action in Phuket alongside TMT trainer Saohin, PABA Champion, May 18, 2007. Koy has already proven himself as a Muay Thai fighter, and now he is a part of the Advanced + Fighter Training program @ TMT Phuket training with Saohin, Ajarn Mac, Kru Yod, Kru Robert, and Kru Kay.
Saohin is the TMT boxing trainer and a PABA Champion. The guests at TMT have taken to Saohin quickly with his excellent teaching skills and demanding attention to learning and training correctly.

TMT Trainers and staff will be heading to Takuapa tomorrow for a day of training and BBQ for kids from the local orphanage and government housing. TMT will be assisting aid worker Tommy Gower, who has helped convert a government recreation center @ the Tsunami housing built by Thai government into a small gym to learn Muay Thai.
TMT trainers and staff (Kru Yod, Mac, Nai, Will, and Phet head out tomorrow after "passing the hat" at the camp today. We will be taking down donations and gear for a day of fun training Muay thai and meeting the people who survived and still need help.
Many of the kids in these projects lost everything in the tsunami including their parents. Now some live with aunts and uncles or at a Government run orphanage in Takuapa near the Ban Taew housing projects. It is important to help keep these kids off the street and give them something they can enjoy and build on.

We had a lot of fun with the kids in Takuapa and Tommy. Aided by the 422 project in U.K. Tommu has slowly refurbish the gym to minimal standards. TMT was happy to bring down some gear and clothing for the kids. After a fun two-hour training session with Ajarn Mac, Kru Nazee, Em, and Phet, we broke out the BBQ and had a small party with kids right there on the front steps of the gym.
It was lot of fun meeting the kids, all of whom survived the tsunami but lost parents and family in the disaster. We met Baer and Aroon who lost both their parents and several family members when their house was destroyed and swept away in the tsunami. Mon, who has been training for almost a year lost his older and younger brother and both sisters. He lives with his mother and truly wants to be a Muay Thai fighter.
Kru Mac is working with the director of the orphanage and relatives to se what we as a camp can do to help.

Robert will be training, getting trained, and fighting during his stay. Paule Marchant will be promoting Robert for a fight and will be working with other fighters @ our camp. We hope to send Ngoo to U.K. later this year. And we are setting up a trip to Canada for Nazee.

Paule will also be bring some of his fighters for Muay Thai fights in Patong and @ Rajadamnoen an Lumpinee.

Watt used his veteran fight experience to win a close fight @ Bangla Stadium on April 17 extending his win streak to 6 fights. Watt weathered the storm early as the younger and stronger fighter came out fast. Watt took control in the 3rd round and went to war. Great Muay thai fight and good match-up. Nice Win, Watt.
It was a great night for the 3rd annual TMT Songkran + Thai New Year BBQ Party @ the camp. During the day, guests headed out across the island to experience the fun of the Songkran festival and all the water games. Patong was one big "water war" as guests enjoyed in celebrating the Thai New Year.
In the evening, the guests headed back to the camp for cold beer, BBQ, and of course more water games. It was great to see some old friends and new show up for the annual party. Ray was there with his super soaker water gun holding people hostage next to kegs of beer. Special thanks goes out to Gai, Smai, and Newy for all the hard work in preparing the BBQ.
Nazee broke out the guitar and sang some folk songs with Aeg and Em. Nazee even brought his two children up from Trang to enjoy the Holiday weekend with family and friends.
Thanks to all our guests and friends of the training camp for a great Thai New Year and Songkran Holiday. We welcome everyone back next year for another exciting party with family and friends.

TMT guest, Frank, made the best of a bad situation when his original opponent failed to arrive on time from Ko Yao on the ferry. Frank didn't want to postpone his fight, so he went against an experienced young Thai fighter. Trainers were surprised when Frank starting using everything he learned @ the camp preparing for his fight.
When pressured, Frank fired back with combinations and a solid Jab-tip kick to keep his opponent at bay. Frank stood his ground and traded blow for blow early, but you could see the experience of the Thai, especially in defense, was controlling the pace of the fight. A solid combination in the 2nd round showed the referee enough when Frank staggered into the corner. All the trainers agreed, Frank looked really good and displayed the techniques he had been learning. Good fight despite the loss. Congrats Frank from your trainers and TMT.

Callum scored his 3rd win fighting for TMT. Callum started training Muay Thai only 3 months ago. He started with some basic boxing skills and a passion for learning Muay Thai. His first fight, a war in Ko Lanta, showed Callum had heart as he won the "Fighter of the Night Award and trophy." His 2nd fight, a 2nd round KO showed he was learning his technique and developing power. His knee to the head dropped his opponent to the canvas. In his 3rd fight, Callum showed he could beat a more experienced fighter and score points with a 5-round points win. Way to Go Callum.

TMT dominated the card on Sunday evening, March 25, 2007 @ Bangla Muay Thai stadium as guest Ben, and TMT fighter, Bang scored WINS while TMT trainer fell short in the 5th round.
Ben scored an awesome first round KO over his Muay Boran / Thai opponent from Bangkok. ben unleashed one powerful combination after another never leaving his opponent time to recover. A high hard leg kick spun his opponent into a crushing left hook that KO'ed the Thai fighter 1:00 into the fight. The Thai fighter gave up about 10 kilo in the fight but had far more experience and speed.
Bag, one of our younger Thai fighters, scored a unanimous decision on points over a local Phuket fighter. Bang dominated the match with hands and knees and better conditioning.
Rose dominated in his return to the ring for 4 rounds, however, Muay Thai fights are 5 rounds. Ahead on points and a win in reach, Rose let his guard down for 1/2 second and caught two knees to the midsection with 30 seconds left. On a positive note, Rose looked phenomenal after a two-year layoff and return to the ring. A rematch is already on the table.
It was a fantastic night for fights @ Nai Harn Beach as guest, Gary, and TMT trainer Watt took Muay Thai fights. Gary, in his first Muay Thai fight, went up against an experienced opponent from Rawai. Gary looked great and lost a very close fight on points. Watt saved the evening in the evenings premiere match winning a tough fight on points.

Thanks for all the guests and friends of the camp that showed up for the blessing by the Buddhist Monks from Wat Chalong temple. Every year, and several times throughout the year on special occasions, we have the Thai Buddhist monks come to bless the camp and our trainers as is the customs and traditions of Muay Thai. Each of the trainers came forward and received a special blessing from the senior monk.

Team MMA Phuket scored 2 Gold and 1 Silver @ S.E.A. Grappling Games in Bangkok on March 17-18, 2007. It was a great weekend of BJJ grappling in Bangkok, Thailand as Team TMT with 5 participants grappled with some of the best BJJ fighters in S.E. Asia. Teams from around Asia including Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand arrived for the annual Grappling Games sponsored by Bangkok Fight Club.
MMA Trainer, Ray Elbe, walked through with a Gold in his division after cutting weight for 48 hours before the fight, then was shifted to the Elite Division and the heavyweight fighters. Ann scored a rear-naked Choke for the Gold Medal in Women's No Gi on Sunday, after losing to kanitha on saturday on points in Women's Gi. Guest, Jack Gibbs, scored a Silver Medal after dislocating his thumb 15 seconds into the finals.

Most Improved went to Johnny K. with 2 outstanding performances against quality opponents. Time and time again, John's opponents attempted submissions. John, listening intently to coach, Ray Elbe, escaped again and again, but fell short on points, but not performance.
It was great to see friends of TMT like former MMA Trainer Daniel Sainty and girlfriend Kanitha, TMT friend and patron, Liz, from Singapore who giving up age gave up nothing in competitiveness as she competed in Women's division.

It was supposed to be a "master's match" in Muay Thai as two veteran fighters got in the ring again. However, Ajarn Mac's opponent cancelled / withdrew 2 days before the fight, leaving Mac to fight a younger replacement fighter. It was evident from round 1 that this was all about classic Muay Thai and technique. Knee for knee. Kick for lick. Trick for trick. Mac looked incredible drawing huge roars from the pro TMT crowd as he fired off "old-school" techniques and scoring points. However, in the end, the 16 year age and weight advantage of his opponent took its toll as Mac fell short on points after the 5 round fight. mac was very proud to be able to show his many students at the camp his traditional Muay Thai skills.

Nazee needs a new nickname as he fights for 3rd time in 10 days as he takes on a younger and bigger foreign fighter in Muay Thai on March 13, 2007 @ Bangla Muay Thai Stadium, patong, Thailand.
TMT Phuket guest, Peter "The BullDog", won with a 4th round KO over Thai opponent "BigHome" in the Super Heavyweight division @ Bangla Stadium on March 2, 2007.

Peter used his powerful boxing skills and punches to wear down the bigger and more experienced opponent. BigHome (8+ fights) had a good defe3nse and attacked Peter's legs with some hard kicks, but Peter fired back with hard overhand rights and combinations. Midway through the 4th round, Peter caught the Big Thai on the ropes and unleashed a series of punches and a "knock-the-house-down" uppercut that ended the fight.
Congratulations to Peter"The Bulldog" on a great fight and excellent training for the last two months. Peter concentrated on sparring 3 times a week and hardcore training with Kru Prathet.

It is going to be a fun filled weekend on March 16-17 as TMT Phuket will celebrate Muay Thai Day on March 16 and have a BBQ party on March 17 for St. Patrick's Day.
On March 16. morning training will be cancelled as Buddhist Monks from Wat Chalong temple will arrive @ 7:00 a.m. to bless the camp and our trainers for a year of good fortune and health. The Buddhist monks will perform a small ceremony, and guests are welcome to join in and speak with the monks and take pictures on this auspicious day.
On March 17, St. Patrick's Day, TMT will hold a day filled with fun and games. There will be no afternoon session on March 17 as the BBQ and Keg party will start around 12:00 p.m. with football, tug of war, and party games for our guests. The BBQ will begin around 6:00 p.m.
Damien, TMT guest from Ireland had his first Muay Thai fight @ Bangla Stadium on February 27, 2007. originally scheduled to fight an opponent with 3 fights, Damien was handed a more skilled opponent with 15 fights after his original opponent withdrew. Damien looked good early almost scoring a first round KO after putting his foreign opponent on the canvas with a combo in the first round. However, his opponent, Stephan, returned with some good defense and solid technique and wore Damien down winning the fight in the 3rd round with a referee stoppage. One of the best fights of the night @ Bangla.
Watt dispatched another "young gun" with ring control and good technique. Watt won each round easily and handed the judges an easy decision for his 5th consecutive win.

It was another great night for Tiger Muay thai as our newest and youngest fighter, Que, won his first Muay thai fight on points at Bangla Stadium, Patong, Thailand, February 27, 2007. Que looked good in his first fight showing he has a bright future in his countries' national sport.
After a fighter had to cancel because of injury, A local promoter asked TMT trainer / fighter Em if he could fill in on 1-hours-notice. Em, always game and ready to fight, accepted the challenge against a taller, younger, and stronger fighter. Em put on a display of traditional Muay thai skills with spinning elbows, jumping kicks, and flying knees that easily took the fight on points.
It was a big day for TMT and 8-year-old fighter "Que" as he was welcomed and initiated as fighter for our camp in a ceremony at Wat Chalong temple before his first fight. Que has been training for 3+ months @ the camp under the training of Kru O, Kru Rose, and Kru Boot.

In the ceremony, Ajarn Mac was presented with a traditional gift as Que and his parents asked Ajarn Mac for his blessing and guidance for their son as he begins the life as a Muay Thai fighter. Ajarn mac did not accept Que lightly or easily into the camp. Que has trained hard the last month with the other young fighters and foreign kids that train @ Tiger Muay Thai in the evenings and during the Muay Thai and Gymnastics Kids Program with Kru Oh. Que has helped clean the workout area in the evenings after training and has worked hard at being the youngest member of Team TMT.
Que visited Wat Chalong Temple before his fight and was accepted into the camp and made merit before his first fight. Que makes prayer with the monk @ Wat Chalong temple as he holds the gym's mongkon and dedicates himself to be an honorable Thai fighter and a respected competitor in his country's national sport.
It was time to say goodbye to the old cage as we make room for our new 10 meter Pro MMA Training Cage with springboard flooring and EVA padded mats + crash pads for Judo, takedowns, throws, etc.
TMT has added a new 120 sq. meter rolling and grappling area for our MMA and Muay thai program. As we continue to upgrade to our facility, we have added 14 new training stations with TWINS heavy, medium, and uppercut (tear-drop) bags. Each Training area, Beginners - Intermediate - Advanced now have their own individual training stations and flooring.

TMT Fighter, Ann, a talented female Muay Thai and MMA fighter will return to the ring February 21, 2007 @ Bangla Stadium, Patong, Thailand. Ann already has three MT fights (2-1) and looks to take on Nongying a local Phuket women's Muay thai fighter.
Ann will also be competing in Bangkok during The S.E.A. Grappling Games. Ann is a hardcore competitor in BJJ and submission grappling as he trains with the MMA crew several times each week.
Big Thanks goes out to MMA Catch Mike Guzzo who has been training Ann the last 6 weeks for her fight with a lot of good boxing drills and combinations and hardcore conditioning.

TMT dominated the card @ Bangla with a pair of KO wins by Will2and Robert on February 16, 2007. Will2, who is @ TMT training for the 2nd time was all over his opponent from the opening bell. In a match that was little more than a battle of the clinch, Will2 dominated by controlling his Thai opponent looking for elbows and knees from the clinch.
In the 2nd, Will2's ever forward style was rewarded with a slashing elbow from his opponent that opened a 12 stitch cut on Will2's eye. However, Will2 was not to be stopped with a big heart and lots of determination. Later that round, Will2 caught the Thai with a solid combination that dropped him in the corner with the referee having seen enough to stop the fight. Will2 is looking forward to his next fight and raising the level of competition.
Robert looked really good in his fight against his Thai opponent. It was a close batter in the first round, and Robert got caught with a couple of solid combinations but fired back with some hard leg kicks that left his opponent limping and staying away from Robert's powerful and debilitating leg strikes.
Robert ended the fight in the 3rd round with a crushing elbow that as much slammed his opponent to the mat as it Ko'ed him. The referee stopped the count immediately ending the fight and giving Robert the WIN.

It was an international team of all-stars as TMT Phuket competed in Football tournament @ Phuket Stadium. Kru Yod formed Team Tiger with trainers and guests from U.S.; Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Germany, and Switzerland to take on local Thai teams in the annual tournament on February 18, 2007.
Guests wore Team Tiger uniforms and had a great time, but came up short 3-2 in front of the large Thai crowd @ the stadium .Guests had so much fun, we have scheduled another game for March 4. TMT guests are welcome to join in on the fun and the after party @ the camp.

It was just as it was billed: Muay Thai in paradise. TMT guests and fighters spent two days on Ko Lanta Island and a night of Beach BBQ and Muay Thai fights as Callum, Watt and Nazee each had fights as part of he 10 fight card @ the local Muay Thai stadium.
It was war, and Callum, after 1+ month training in the advanced fighter's program, was ready for it all. It was an exciting fight from start to finish. Callum started slow as the Thai, Saminglek, took the first round. Callum responded with outstanding rounds 2 and 3 with great knee work and mixing his strikes with hands, knees, and elbows. The Thai came back in the 4th with a strong round leaving the 5th to dec idde the fight. Callum left nothing in the corner and outfought the Thai in the 5th to claim the win.
Callum was also awarded the "Fighter of the Night" award trophy showing tremendous heart and excellent conditioning under the instruction of Kru Yod, Prathet, and Robert.

Something was wrong with Watt all week. He said little; always a look of seriousness masked his face. he rubbed his sore back, shrugged it off and began training harder. On Tuesday night at Ko Lanta, Watt finally had a smile after dropping his Thai opponent, Mascha, with a clipping right elbow set up by a stinging knee to the chest. despite fighting a younger, stronger, and faster opponent, Watt showed why experience is king. Slipping, moving, and using timing, Wat outscored his opponent early as both fighters clearly had no liking of each other. Watt was very disciplined in his approach. Even after scoring a near KO kick and Mascha dizzy on the ropes, watt stepped back and scored more points while continuing to look for another clean KO shot.

It was an amazing fight that took a serious and crazy turn. Nazee was facing a good young French Figh
